The Colorado Center for Biorefining and Biofuels (C2B2) is a cooperative research and education center devoted to the conversion of biomass to fuels and products. C2B2 institutions include the US DOE’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory, University of Colorado Boulder, Colorado State University, and Colorado School of Mines; each with complementary strengths in biofuel/biorefining applications.

Sponsors include Chevron, ConocoPhillips, Ecopetrol, Genencor, General Motors, Shell Global Solutions and Valero, and small businesses. Center collaboration facilitates networking and research opportunities among private industry, professional scientists, laboratories, educators and well-trained students.
