Paul De Martini

Paul De Martini is managing director of Newport Consulting Group, LLC, where he assists utility firms and Fortune 250 companies with developing strategy in light of changing markets and policies. He has 30 years of experience leading smart grid initiatives with industry giants such as Pacific Gas and Electric Company, Southern California Edison, and Cisco. He was founding chair of the Edison Electric Institute's executive smart grid working group, where he shaped national smart grid regulatory and policy decisions. He was also a founding chair of the Electric Power Research Institute's executive smart grid working group, where he contributed to shaping the economic analysis of smart grid investments. De Martini received a BS in Applied Economics from the University of San Francisco, an MBA degree from the University of Southern California, and a Certificate in Technology Management from the California Institute of Technology.
